THESIS '12 / HANDMADE PAKISTAN
For my final thesis component at The Ontario College of Art and Design, I travelled to specific locations in Pakistan to photograph and interview artisans who were involved in the production of cultural handicrafts. "Handmade Pakistan" was a business model that focused on reviving traditional craft in Pakistan through a targeted marketing campaign that was aimed at the international, fashion conscious consumer. The campaign was designed to reduce the number of “middle men” involved in the sale of these items, thus maximizing profits for the artisans while giving them recognition for their work.
